The Colorless Rainbow

Rainbows are symbols of hope, a sign that something better is coming after the storm. But what if your rainbow didn’t have any colors? What if it was just a faint line in the sky, reminding you not of hope, but of what never came to be? For many years, that’s how my life felt—like a colorless rainbow—something that should have been beautiful, but felt empty.

For seven years, I chased the dream of becoming a mother. It wasn’t just a hope; it was the dream that defined me. Every treatment, every visit to the doctor, every sleepless night consumed me. I imagined tiny hands holding mine, lullabies in the soft light of a nursery.

But after countless treatments, heartbreaks, and unmet hopes, I had to accept a painful truth: I would not be a mom. This realization was devastating.

It wasn’t just the loss of a dream; it felt like I was losing myself. Who was I if I wasn’t a mother? My days became shadows, filled with loneliness, doubt, and confusion. Life felt stuck in a place where happiness, purpose, and meaning didn’t exist. But even a colorless rainbow is still a rainbow. It’s still there, waiting for the light to shine through, for life to bring back its brilliance.

For me, that change happened when I discovered Life Coaching. At first, I thought it was just another attempt to fix my broken heart. But instead of giving me quick answers or empty positivity, coaching offered something deeper: a way back to myself. I began to see my story—not as an ending, but as a new beginning.

Through coaching, I learned to rewrite my story. I stopped thinking my worth depended on what I didn’t have and started seeing all that I did have. I began to embrace the loneliness, the grief, and the confusion, not as obstacles, but as parts of my journey. And I realized something powerful: my rainbow wasn’t colorless. It just needed a new light. That’s when I understood.

My story, the one I thought was broken, could help others. I wasn’t alone in this. There were many women like me, struggling with childlessness, looking for meaning in a world that often sees motherhood as the only path to purpose. I could be their light, their rainbow in the storm. Just because life doesn’t turn out the way we imagined, doesn’t mean we’re meant to live a small life.

Sometimes, the most beautiful things come from the unexpected turns in life. The colorless rainbow isn’t the end. It’s a new beginning. It’s the place where we can create new dreams, new joys, and new purposes. For me, those colors came from the women I’ve helped, the lives I’ve touched, and the love I’ve shared.

My rainbow is no longer just mine. It stretches out, full of color, into the lives of others.

To anyone reading this, wondering if the storm will ever end, I offer this: even if your rainbow seems colorless now, know that the colors are waiting. All it takes is a shift, a moment, and a willingness to let light back in. And when you do, you’ll see—your rainbow is more beautiful than you ever imagined.
