The Other's Day® Event

May 7-8, 2027 - Chicago, IL

THE EVENT FOR WOMEN WHO FEEL LIKE OTHERS ON MOTHER'S DAY

You’re Dreading Mother’s Day.

Here’s a secret… you’re not alone.

There is a quiet but powerful community of women who do not fit the traditional mold of this day. Women who never became mothers, who have lost their mothers, or who simply do not feel warmth when this holiday comes around.

They, like you, have felt like an other on a day that seems to celebrate everyone else.

But what if this year felt different?

What if, instead of avoiding the day, you spent it with women who truly understand?

In 2026, we expanded. The Other’s Day® is now a two-day experience designed to help you reclaim this weekend with community, joy, and the reminder that your story is just as worthy of recognition.

Come join us. You belong here.

THE 2027 EXPERIENCE: WHAT TO EXPECT

Friday Night | The Foundation

A calm, grounding evening for the soul. This isn’t about “doing”; it’s about “being.” We’ll prepare our hearts for the weekend with gentle yoga, guided meditation, and a restorative sound bath. It’s a quiet, intentional way to connect with yourself and other women in a relaxed environment.

  • Vibe: Calm, restorative, and intimate.

  • Wear: Comfortable clothes you can move and relax in.

Saturday | The Other’s Day® Brunch

Our signature high-energy celebration. This is the event The Other’s Day® is known for! We gather to share a beautiful meal, toast to our resilience, and enjoy the uplifted energy of a room full of women who “get it.”

  • Vibe: Joyful, high-energy, and celebratory.

  • Wear: Whatever makes you feel beautiful and confident.

Everything is included in your ticket, so you can relax, enjoy, and fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Dietary Note: While we do our best to offer gluten- and dairy-free alternatives, we cannot guarantee that items are completely free from cross-contamination. If you have severe allergies, please consider this when attending.

CONNECTION

The Other’s Day® Brunch is not about sitting in sadness or focusing on what makes Mother’s Day hard. It is about recognizing the incredible woman you are and celebrating the life you are creating.

This weekend was designed to bring together women who understand your journey without explanation. It is a space where you can be yourself, connect with others who truly “get it,” and feel a sense of belonging that is often missing on this weekend.

Through curated connection activities and meaningful conversations, you will be reminded that your story is worth celebrating. This isn’t a day to feel small—it is a day to feel seen, supported, and inspired.

MEET YOUR HOST

Lana Manikowski knows firsthand what it feels like to be an “other” on Mother’s Day. After seven years of infertility treatments ended without the child she dreamed of, she longed for a space where women could feel seen, understood, and celebrated, not overlooked.

That is why she created The Other’s Day Brunch in 2022. What started as a heartfelt idea has become a cherished gathering, offering a place for women without children to connect, share, and embrace a day that once felt so isolating. In 2026, she expanded this vision into a two-day experience, with the addition of Friday Night: The Foundation to provide a restorative space for grounding and yoga alongside the signature high-energy brunch celebration.

As a certified life coach, author, and advocate for thriving after infertility, Lana has dedicated her work to helping women redefine their futures with meaning, joy, and purpose. This brunch is not about fixing what cannot be changed. It is about honoring who you are and the beautiful life you are creating.

If Mother’s Day has ever felt like a day you would rather avoid, you are not alone. The Other’s Day Brunch is the perfect way to reclaim this weekend for yourself, surrounded by women who truly understand.
