THINGS PEOPLE SAY WHEN YOU ARE CHILDLESS

Tired of feeling caught off guard when people ask, “Do you have kids?” or “What are you waiting for?”

Learn to redirect uncomfortable conversations and equip yourself with confident replies to intrusive comments.

I help childless women stop feeling incomplete because fertility treatments failed.

In fact, my number one downloaded podcast episode is about finding your purpose without children. Most people think that a woman’s purpose is to bear children and become a mother, but when that is not possible, it can leave you questioning your future and the impact you will create with your life. Becoming unexpectedly childless puts a lot of women into a spiral of emotions.

There are three main areas women who are childless after infertility often struggle to make peace with; their body image, their relationships and how to fill their time in a meaningful way. Finding myself childless after a seven year journey through infertility treatments – which included several rounds of IUI and IVF, I was lost. You may be too.

INTRODUCING:

Adoption and egg donor may be beautiful choices for some, but not all of us.

Despite going to some of the most recognized fertility clinics in the world, I was not given any resources to navigate my life when my fertility treatments ended without a living child.

It had me asking myself time and time again –

So Now What?

I'm Lana,

If you are nodding your head, welcome. I get you. I haven been there. My heart was shattered when my dream of biological motherhood was no longer achievable, but now I am over here with jazz hands to tell you that you can thrive and feel fulfilled without the children you dreamed you would have. I am excited to share the foundation of the work I do to help women who are childless not by choice fall in love with their life again. Even when it turned out so differently than you imagined.

Did you experience weight gain from all the injections and medications you were on during fertility treatments? Yup, me too – you are not alone. I know there are times you get angry with your body for how it showed up for you during you journey through IVF. You may even feel unrecognizable when you look in the mirror because your body looks so different than it used to.

If you are ready to stop being disappointed with your body, I can help.

Creating a life that you love is possible using my Three-Step Thrive Method.

Body Image

After years of trying to have a baby without success, your body can feel like the enemy. You did everything they told you to do, everything you could. Appointments. Injections. Procedures. Waiting. And in the end, your body still didn’t give you the baby you worked so hard for.

When you look at your body, it’s hard to feel proud of it. You feel let down by it. It can feel broken, like it didn’t work right. You may even think, what’s the point of my body if it couldn’t do the one thing a woman’s body is supposed to do?

I help you work through that disappointment. You’ll learn how to stop seeing your body as a failure. You stop turning your back on it just because it couldn’t give you a baby. Over time, you begin to see your body as more than infertility. You stop treating it like something that failed and start feeling proud of and connected to yourself again.

Relationships

Relationships can feel hard when you are the one without children. With your partner, you may wonder what your life together will look like without kids to raise. You may question how close you will feel without children to parent together. You might ask yourself if the two of you will be enough.

It can feel hard to know where you belong when you’re the only one in your friend group without kids. Family gatherings can feel strange when everyone is talking about baby news and new additions to the family.

At work, it may feel like you are expected to do more. You might stay late, work holidays, or pick up extra work because you don’t have kids waiting for you at home.

I help you move through these changes. You can feel steady in your relationship, valued by your friends, and confident about where you belong, even when your life looks different than others.

Owning your time

Figuring out how to fill your time with things that feel meaningful can be hard when you thought your days would be spent raising kids, doing school drop-offs, helping with homework, and driving to practices.

It can seem like parents move through clear milestones as they raise children. First days of school. Birthday parties. High school graduations. Their child’s wedding. One day becoming a grandmother.

When you don’t have those milestones, time can feel suffocating. There is no built-in plan. You are the one who has to decide how to fill your days, and it can be hard to know what should matter now.

People may tell you that you’re lucky to have so much freedom. But it doesn’t feel that way. You may throw yourself into work just to stay busy. Or you binge-watch Netflix at night because you don’t know what else to do. Neither one feels good.

I help you decide how you want to spend your time now. You begin to choose things that make your days feel full and meaningful. Your life starts to feel like it is moving forward again, even though it looks different than you once expected.

I navigated all of this alone - and frankly, the road was bumpy.

I spent too many years feeling isolated and misunderstood by people who thought I should’ve been “over it” by now. I yearned for a community to join that could understand the struggles of being childless after infertility. I could not find one, so I created one by developing my proven coaching program – Thrive After Infertility. When focusing on these 3 main areas (body image, relationships and owning your time) in Thrive After Infertility, I help goal-driven women thrive and feel fulfilled without the children they always thought they would have.

"Having the opportunity to work with Lana has been a huge blessing, transformative and very much life changing. Lana is easy to open up to and she really understands this walk more than anyone. Lana is the first person to say to me ‘we can absolutely love our lives again.’ We worked on creating possibilities in my life, week by week which requires paying attention to yourself and being willing to let Lana lead the way. She is a great leader and she always had good suggestions as to how to change what and how we are thinking and what stories we are letting run our lives that may be causing us pain unnecessarily. Lana has been prompt with all methods of communication. I would highly encourage any woman to invest in themselves to work through this with Lana. She is gifted, receptive and highly encouraging to really work on loving our life's again. I was deeply touched having had the chance to work with her. Don’t wait, sign up!"

"After months of working on myself, I felt like I had reached a plateau. I wanted to learn tools that would help me move forward towards embracing my life. I decided to work with Lana because I knew that she would understand me, as a childless after infertility woman. Being coached by Lana, I felt validated, but also challenged. The biggest game changer for me was becoming aware of my thoughts and asking myself: How is this thought serving me? The community I built with my Thrive After Infertility girls is just the support that I needed to become more confident and start finding peace."

"Lana is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and understanding individuals. In the midst of an extraordinarily challenging year, Lana has managed to flip my mindset upside down and retrain my brain - literally. She changed my perspective and challenged me to think differently. Each time I met with her, she put me at ease. I began to look forward to each session more and more.

The biggest thing I took away from life coaching was changing my perspective and stopping certain thoughts before they even start. I noticed a change in myself, but others did, too. Lana helped me full circle; she coached me to find where I was struggling. Oftentimes we as humans want to change but we don’t quite know where to begin. When I worked with Lana she helped me identify areas for growth and we pinpointed situations in which I could utilize the training. I am so grateful to Lana for giving me my zest for life back. She is truly without a doubt one of the most wonderful people I have ever met."
